BBC
When I was about 5 or so, I had a habit of getting up really early (like 5am), going to the kitchen to find whatever I could to eat (once settling on cat food, but that's a story for another time...), then going to the front room to watch TV.

Almost always, the TV had been switched off the night before tuned into BBC 1. Being that it wasn't a 24 hour channel back then (is it now? *shrugs*) there would be this still frame of this girl writing something on a chalkboard, and this clown sitting next to her, with this eerie high pitched noise.

I don't know what it was about it, but it used to make me absolutely white in fear...

I just looked for the picture on Google Images, and the feeling of apprehension before finding the correct image was amazing :)

Oopsy
Back when I was 13, my hormones started to show themselves in the fact I could think of nothing but sex, sex and more sex. So, to try and satisfy my urges, I wrote a sex story and hid it under my pillow.

Who should find it but my mother when she went to change my bed... she expressed her disgust at my accurate knowledge of everything and continually asked for the next month or so "why would you do something like that to me?"

So yeah, it would have been a dirty secret, but it wasn't.

Length? A whole sheet of A4.

My leg can't breathe
One night, my mum woke up to some loud noises coming from my bedroom. She went to see what was going on to find me rummaging in my wardrobe. Upon asking me what the hell I was looking for in my sleepy state, I declared that I was looking for my asthma inhaler so I could rub it on my leg.

The Sutton Wizard
If you happen to be in Sutton (London) at all then keep an eye out for the old man dressed as a wizard. He keeps a cat on his shoulder and an old collie dog follows him. He also carries a wizard's staff and just walks around like he isn't eccentric at all...

Apparently there used to be an old man who walked around dressed as Jesus and gave money and sweets to people. I don't know if it's the same old man...

Bloody tuna
When I was about 9, I had packed lunch at junior school. One of my favourite sandwiches was tuna and diced cucumber.

One day, I bit into one of these sandwiches, and thought it tasted a little off. I looked at it, and saw this sizeable chunk of tuna (my mum usually mashed it up with mayonnaise) with shiny red pinpricks in, like bloodspots. I never willingly ate tuna again.
