» I was drunk when I bought this

drunk + online shopping...
= 40 goats.

After I sobered up and found the emailed receipts for said goats, I didn't know what to do with them.

So I got drunk again and arranged for them to be sent to a well known British band.

Which earned me coverage on the front of the Guardian, featuring a quote from a very drunken me, saying "I want to populate the world with my goats".

» Mini Cabs From Hell

I don't like taxis :(
I find it way more fun to stumble into a pizza place after a drinking binge, and order a pizza to be delivered to my house, and get them to deliver me too. It works every time.

Sometimes, I even get free chips.

» Never Meet Your Heroes

What do you mean, no...
A person I know [that is not me at all, honest] once went to great lengths to meet Ken Stringfellow, of The Posies fame, and also keyboard monkey for REM.

Said person regretted taking such steps when being pinned to a couch by Mr Stringfellow, who asked her if she wanted to f*** in the toilets or the transit van.

When said person said "neither, thanks", he looked her deep in the eyes and said...

"Why not? Am I not your fantasy?"

Said person never wants to meet anyone. Ever again.

» Irrational Fears

phobias... I have them all....
escalators. I can go upstairs on an escalator. not downstairs.

metal cutlery. I ALWAYS carry plastic cutlery in my handbag in case I have to eat out anywhere.

copper coins. will go to any length not to touch 1ps or 2ps, in case they dissolve my hand.

People touching my computer screen makes me have cold sweats.

The strangest? Not so strange really. If my hands get cold, I'm sure my fingers are going to snap. (Fingers in general freak me out, to be honest.) How do I keep them warm on cold days? Wearing gloves? Oh no. Putting hands in pockets? Of course not.

Tonight, I was waiting for a bus from Manchester city centre. Holding a hot water bottle to keep my hands warm. It's logical. It's cold, so a hot water bottle is my friend.

» Hotel Splendido

Glasgow hotels...
Hotel A... Designed seemingly by M C Escher. Stairs that lead up to a solid wall...

Hotel B... The one where the corridors look like something from The Shining, until you walk down them... and the walls get closer, the ceilings get lower, until you have to hunch.... Also has the smallest swimming pool ever. Has the capacity for one guest, and god help them if they want to turn round to do another length...

I love those hotels :)
