That's a real shame
I've been looking forward to a film version since it was first mentioned. I do like the way the zombies swarm though, that looks good.

A few explosions and some giant knockers
and we've got ourselfs a Michael Bay flic.
(and zombies are suppose to shuffle like you and me in a Tesco-congaline. That's sort of the point of them. That and murdering those you love and strangers)

Not read the book but it looks like "I am legend" All over again
Studio buys rights to a book just because it's popular and has a good name.
BTW read I am Legend, it's really good.

Reminds me of this:

Which I also enjoyed.
Walking dead follows the comics and is tedious tripe. I like an entertaining generic blockbuster from time to time :)

I love zombies
and I hate Walking Dead. Soapy crap.
I see it as the zombie thing for people who don't like zombie things

I only saw up to halfway of season two but have read most of the comics.
It doesn't follow the comics by a long shot.
Comics had lots more happening, drama and brilliant character development.

I stand corrected
I didn't make it to season 2 - but season 1 appeared to be story for story... Just show how shite it is if the comics 'had lots more happening' - the series had far more frames....

It used a couple of locations but took serious liberties with the characters.

*spoilers*
In the comic on average a main character would die or get really fucked up every couple of books.
If they've just started bumping people off then they've got a lot of catching up to do.

It just got good, and it only took, what? Three seasons?
Not much of a recommendation, really.

This is why I don't watch "must see tv"
Invariably the person recomending it will say "it gets good around episode 7". Fuck that.
You hook me in the first episode or I ain't going any further

They said that it couldn't be done, and they couldn't do it.
The book is a series of short stories that tell a larger tale. It is what it says that it is: an oral history.
Slapping the title of a book that really impressed me as a masterpiece the first time through (that's called a back-handed compliment, folks) onto this generic zombie flick more or less spoils the movie for me, but it does look like fun. I'll watch it at home when it's available on DVD.

Christ, that looks like the kind of film I'd actually pay money NOT to watch
bonus 'fuck off' points for whining child in trailer: I mean Christ! if she's that annoying in the trailer, just imagine how annoying it'll be in the entire film.

Oh...
Zombies do not run. If they run, they're classified as undead. So this is an undead film, not a Zombie film. (It also looks disappointing.)
