This is a question Abusing freebies

A friend of mine recently attended a 'Champaign Lunch', where he was compelled drink as much fizzy stuff as he could between the first and last courses. In an ideal world we'd ask restaurant staff to tell us stories about fatties stuffing themselves at All You Can Eat places, but we recognise that our members don't all work in the catering trade, so for the rest of you - tell us something about abusing freebies. BTW: Bee puns = you fail.

Free Shots
In the last bar I worked in (Bar Red in Blackpool, don't go there, it's run by a cunt who hit me when firing me for no reason whatsoever), they had some local glamour model type girl handing out cards for a free shot with the first drink you buy.

This gets all the lads in who want to get bevvied up before they go to the Syndicate (horrible grey dance club full of pretty boys and fights outside).

What they don't know, is that when we made the bottles which the free shots were contained in, it was 50mls of vodka, to 650mls of blackcurrant cordial.

They thought it was strong because of the alcohol, it was only strong because the cordial in it was neat with a tiny bit of vodka.

Click "I like this" if you think my bosses were conniving bastards.

Im a student at
Lancaster, they took us to syndicate in freshers week. Aside from being populated by broomsticks in short skirts and what looked like orca whales in even shorter skirts they were pushing a shot on everyone who went to the bar-

"would you like a 'wild' shooter for only a pound and a half a shot?"

"crikey, thats bloody good value" people would say.

Is it piss.

Having worked in a bar for about a year before I trotted off to Uni I knew exactly what was in a wild shooter- wine.

Thats right, people were downing shots of wine.

It's wine made from sugar, water and yeast and then flavoured with a chemical. It costs about 1/2 a penny a shot for them to sell.

"Ill buy the bottle for a fiver" I said to her "you'll still be making a profit"

the manager comes and sternly refuses

"give me the bottle for a fiver, or ill tell everyone that this 'sambuca' is only 15%"

well. In my time working in a bar I obviously forgot what happens to smart-alecs.

and thats how I got chucked out of syndicate!
