My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

How many......people think there are quite a lot of posh, pretentious wankers exposing themselves on this one? Honk if you agree.
Just to fit in with the QOTW, my answer: posh, pretentious wankers are becoming all too common, though that does confuse me somewhat.

*HONK*I heartily agree. People rattling off big lists of what is supposedly "common" is just fucking annoying and pathetic. All we're gettin is big lists of peoples petty dislikes...half the stuff isn't even that common and some of it is very specific

HONKbut i think there's a diff between 'posh' and 'pretentious'.The posh people i know often have no money and don't go on about status and cars and material posessions.
in fact,come to think aobut it,most of the posh people i know are new-age,taoist,buddhist,alternative,or eccentric.hmm...
