Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

The trailer for the film "The Golden Compass" starring Daniel Craig has the text and vocal "THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!" strewn across the start of it.

Waiiittt... This holiday season? You mean, "THIS CHRISTMAS" surely? No? Wankers..

Don't they mean Northen Lights, oh wait no i forgot that apparently Americans are to stupid to know what northen lights are, so the title of the book was dumbed down.

"Holiday Season"
is perfectly common already in America. Not due to PC, due to it being a normal variant on "Festive Season" which has about the same meaning.
I just don't know why you'd get so annoyed about such a trivial thing. It's their film, not yours. Don't go and see it if you feel some trivial aspect of it is irreligious. You can't close down films because they slightly offend your religion. It's political correctness gone mad I tell you.

And also Im pretty sure they use holiday season to encompass everything from thanksgiving to labour day?

What about Hanukah and Kwanzaa which are at similar times of year? As well as Thanksgiving etc, when talking about an American audience. It's not PC gone wrong.

Think about other cultures, not just your own. You may be white but not everyone else in the UK is.
