This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

Seconded.
Lived there 1991-1994.

I expect it hasn't improved but I can't bring myself to go back and verify that.

I only went there once, to see a patient.
It was pissing down.
Shithole? It's the potholes that got me, I was bloody soaked.
Never going back there again.

Full on shit hole.
I took a Glaswegian mate out in Gloucester- he called it the Wild West and suggested we head over to the more sedate Cheltenham to avoid getting stabbed by the scabby crack whores and their retarded kappa-wearing boyfriends.

On a bright note - the drugs are cheap and very good quality.

Ohhh, I don't know
I feel nostalgic about it whenever I'm not there (the majority of the year). But then, I'd probably get a bit patriotic about prison if I'd spent 20 years there.
