No they were neither racist NOR sexist. They were rude and nasty, but they weren't either of those things. The russian twat didn't say discriminate or call them out on their race, he said they were "brothers" and "nasty to look at". There may be racial undertones to these statements but they aren't directly aimed at either women in general or people of a specific skin colour.
Bloody hell I sound like I'm in UKIP. I'm off to eat some of the delicious Diwali treats Sandeep has brought into work today.

I haven't found an English transcript of the interview
but certainly the comments seem sexist to me - along the lines of how the elegant, beautiful Russian athletes should rightfully be scared of having to play against the physically powerful, imposing Williams "brothers". There may also have been racist undertones, no idea.
I would trust the judgment of the black, female Williams sisters as to what they find racist and sexist over anyone else's, they must have experienced more than enough of both throughout their lives and careers.
