I have a book entitled 'How to move heavy things' - he's right on best practice, although personally I would have burnt the whole trunk to ashes and used it as fertiliser for the new patch.
It does seem as if he is now de-evolving -where are the axes he made before?

A) there's no crew, just him.
B) there's no solar power, or any modern equipment used in any of the projects (other than the camera that records his exploits)
3) he makes it clear on his blog he doesn't live at the camp, it's just a hobby.
