Stanley Unwin + Carry on. Wan Seal
Not wishing to be morbid and all, but Mum had a mini stroke this a.m. and started talking very much like Stanley Unwin. The whole f.a.s.t. thing showed up nothing but she didn't realise she was talking gobble de gook. This is weirdly a good pointer if you think you're going mad when someone does this but their face isn't drooping etc. And Unwin was a great innovator so worth an excuse.
She's okay at the mo by the way. So, same as f.a.s.t.. Catch em quick and get them sorted even if they actually think you are the one who makes no sense ( anyone else experience this too?)
Right, I'll feck off and I'll be having none of your maudlin good wishes. I'm now going to indulge in a stiff one, followed by a strong drink.

My Grandad had a stroke,
He ended up a little like that. He talked in opposites, "No" meant yes etc. I think the actual term is called 'Aphasia'. It means that the brain makes the wrong links in language, if it's any help it can right itself naturally but it's quicker with therapy.
Hope she get's better soon.

"Shut your cake-hole" is a smashing expression. I intend to use it much more from now on.
Glad your Mum is ok and hope she recovers quickly.
