I have wondered about more than a few foodsI mean that first guy - what was he up to?
I don't know how hungry someone needs to be to try that shit. I mean really, those people were next to an ocean full of fresh fish. Sure, preserve the fish through the winter. I get that. But why not just smoke it or salt it? Why make it into soap?
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW LUTEFISK BECAME A GOOD IDEA.

But desperation didn't need to go that farThey had access to some of the most plentiful fish stocks in the world. Sure, things froze over for a few months each year, but they could have just smoked or salted the fish. Nobody can explain lutefisk.
