# Against my better judgement
I really enjoyed that piece of utter toss
(, Wed 14 Dec 2011, 9:41, archived)
# I know!
I love what one critic said, "Drive Angry is pure grindhouse, so committed to its own junkiness that it is, in its way, a pleasure to behold."

# yes. im glad i paid more to watch it suck in 3D
(, Wed 14 Dec 2011, 9:44, archived)
# Well if it wasn't shot in real 3d then I didn't miss anything.
But it has heart, it says what it means to say with no apologies.

# is that Simon Pegg?
not sure i'd pay to see him in 3D ;)

# Star trek 2 is being shot entirely in 3D
Scary. JJ Abrams and that much lens flare in 3D is gonna fuck a fair few eyes up.

# Oh there's more to it than that, it's the perfect toss.
Give in to it, I haven't seen it enough times yet myself.

# I think I may have to view
I do like a good bad movie.
(, Wed 14 Dec 2011, 9:51, archived)
# Oh you'll love this then
The first few minutes are inexplicable, then some stuff happens, then there are very few dull moments while folks stand in gore and introduce the next set piece.

# lol
good times.

I recently ordered this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuSL7JpyD-I (NSFW!)

can't wait for it to arrive :D

# Dear 'Bob" that looks bad.
I've seen things . . . If you want to support community theatre, this one is about as bad as you can get: www.imdb.com/title/tt0349345/
As in: there are lots of fire effects, but they are all a fire GIF you first saw in the 90's.

Don't. It was an endurance test for the stoutest bad movie fans among us.

# ha
Looks epic. I really want to see final flesh. The voice of towelie from south park wrote the film then sent it to different porn studios that specialized in making tailor made bespoke pornohrsphy. It looks all sorts of mental.

# I wouldn't say it was a 'good, bad movie'
It's that rarity in Hollywood, a piece of trash that neither apologises for being trash, but also doesn't go too far into winking at the audience every couple of minutes.
It's almost intelligent trash.

I'm talking arse now, ain't I?

# I kinda get what you mean
but I did study media :P
(, Wed 14 Dec 2011, 10:14, archived)
# I'm studying media right now...

# Media students are all thwaights!
They all start every other sentence with "yes, but in the industry"..... Having never EVER even been close to actually working "in the industry" A bunch of pretentious twats who think they see the "hidden meaning" in every piece of unbridled tosh that their tellybox or radio spews into their conciousness.
Having worked in radio for most of my working life I dread the words "some students are coming over to see how things work here" because you end up with a studio/booth/news room filled with greasy, stinking talentless gits who will insist on pointing out what you're doing wrong and how they would do it better and how their "how to" book has taught them.
What I find hilarious is the surplus of "media graduates" there are every year, The amount of people leaving uni with a degree in media each year is about equal to the amount of jobs "in the industry" meaning every year there is a new 100% surplus of "qualified" people.
I have a friend who is over 80k in debt because of her degree in media and setting up her own "videography" company... She wasn't best pleased when I pointed out that the winner of this years young apprentice just went out and started her own business at 14 with no degree and basic equipment and WORKED rather than arsed about getting into debt for 4 years.
Rant over.... and yes I was a media student. (for 6 months then realised it was all bollocks and just went out to local radio stations and started flogging myself for a pittance to gain experience and a proper job)

# No
You're right.
I have no idea how this much money and such collided to make art.
