[challenge entry] Naked Babes (1996)

Tin, paper, cigarette ash, ink and glue.
H. 54mm Circumference 239mm.
£96,000

I didn't have an internet then. It was done with a surgical blade and glue cut and paste using letters from other beans labels, then any light edges were blacked in. Before it was sold (all my art is priced by the last two digits of the year of sale in thousands) it was used as an ashtray. It isn't a 'shopped image, other than for cleaning up the surroundings and tweaking the lighting.

[challenge entry] well, mine took 2 minutes and is worth 0 pence :)

Yours is VERY good though. I used to do similar, with branding and what not for screen printing t-shirts around then. Nice Mitzies cereal, and fairly hip kid I remember off the top of my head... No PC then either :)

Maybe that would be a good compo here? Stuff people did before the interwebs? (Edit: Or stuff people did that they would do in a graphics programme now but didn't use a computer to do it?)

(And later he or she wrote: Unknowingly you doing a take on Jamie Reid is weirdly coincidental for me. Haven't had many sex pest lols in my life recently sadly.)

(And also: 'Fairly Hip Kid' - I think I remember that.)

# So in the year 2000 you sold something for £00,000?

Yes. I didn't think my system out properly. I sold a teabag with a handstitched statement sewn into it for no pence that year.

(Another edit: I should have said the last two digits in units, tens, thousands, tens of thousands etc. anyway.)

No it's true. I had my manservant bid on it and it is in my private collection. You are too modest.

# I sold two of my pictures in the B3ta charity auction
I suspect people wanted the frames :/

I sort of wish I had gone now, years later, but I was scared of meeting some of them. Some of those people. Those types.

# I've found them all to be OK in their offline actual life
and nothing like you would imagine, but in a good way.
