Don't suppose you saw the Star Wars Tweet earlier on how they made more puppets and face masks in each of the prequels than all of the other films put together.
So much for the "it was all shit CG, not like the old films" argument.
I guess people just focus on the stuff they don't like these days.

*edit - Just dug out the art book, according to one of the original artists he's a cross between a snail (eyes), frog, seahorse and platypus.
No mention of Jamaican weirdly, perhaps that was just the actor.
