Today I'm at the stage of feeding the output back in on itself.
5 times usually makes a visible difference.
I'd already started shopping different versions of the same pic together.
Now I'm mixing it all up, feeding shopped versions back in multiple times, that sort of thing. I reckon that's going to be fun until late afternoon.

ha ha, yeah, the speed of your PC's CPU and amount of memory, will also have a direct effect on the burnout rate
I've noticed that once you get past 10-15 passes, you often can't even tell what the base image was. Sometimes it's cool, other times it's total crap.
I remember chasing pie-in-the-sky ideas when I had my old 686 w/32MB ram. Back then, fractals had a similar appeal.
I still play with the deepdream quite a bit. Trying to get more familiar with the technical side,
I am past the chimping stage, but still have a fondness for puppyslugs when created by someone I know. ...as long as they don't go overboard.
