I don't think the problem is the subject matter itself, I personally thing people should excercise a little more quality control before posting.

I mean, if you don't have a decent viking joke, you don't have to make a picture about vikings.

I used to be huge on anchient mythology, now I can't even spell it though, and there's a well of untapped hummus there for this week, use some of it yourself and lead by example.
Having said that, I may potter off and play Age of Mythology for a while now.
