I was up in the snow a few weekends ago, walked to the top of Blencathra at 8 in the morning - amazing orange sun over the tops of all the mountains at 10am - not a cloud in the sky.

Twas bloody cold though, and there was lots of ice - crampons job at the top. I wonder how many red sock ramblers got scared that weekend...
