# :O
How can you accuse it of being sacriledge based on that?!? It made -me- laugh. X(

# because it looks like an american movie
and H2G2 is definitely British humour.

It also had the words Disney at the very end.

# There's American money in -every- moderately large fillum these days
so perhaps you should just avoid the cinema all together.

And Disney have actually shown a fair amount of tact with the things they've published over the last few years. I trust'em. : )

# I do avoid the cinema for precisely those reasons.
Do not trust Disney. Never trust Disney. The only goods thing about Disney is their contract with Pixar (which is the worst thing about Pixar).

I'll give them Freaky Friday and Pirates Of The Carribean but apart from that their last releases have been shite imo.

# Well Ford Prefect is gonna be black to start with.......
(played by Mos Def apparently?!?!?) but other than that Douglas had a very big hand in it's design and pre-production stages, before he upped sticks and died anyway, then the project was put on hold for a while but now it's all going ahead smoothly. Filming has finished and now it's all post production stuff.

# so in other words
he *did* have control over it, but they put off actually filming it until he died?

Hmm...

# No, the project was put on hold when he died.
It was started up again at the request of his family after a suitable mourning period. It really is what he would have wanted.

# nonsense
its not like the new radio series was rubbish - plus the idea of the film has been around for years, mr adams put in a lot of work himself before his demise
