Yeah,but the thing that causes the confusion is that Chinese can be both a nationality AND an ethnicity. Most of the people I know here would call themselves ethnic Chinese of Taiwanese nationality.

YepMy students are really confused about it, though most of them (elementary school age) very definitely consider themselves Taiwanese, which probably tells you something about the future of the country. So you here long term then?

Yeah,pretty much. Considering at least another couple of years, partly 'cause I like it here, partly 'cause it's a good business decision. (Working as a Chinese-to-English translator, more business working from here.)
