# *thinks*
You fought in the Gulf War so, I should be aware
(a)of your intellectual prowess?
or
(b)that you might
shoot me like a Brazillian??

What I'm saying is that this constant American
(and to a slightly lesser extent French and German)
bashing has nothing to do with the current political
situation, it's been going on for a long time and
is part of the English character.
There are many exceptions, but in general,
the English are the most jingoistic people I've
ever encountered.

# It's because
They're still bitter that Americans broke off of them and made a way more badass country.

# actually
I think it's because, while the English travel
quite a bit, they tend not to interact much
with the local cultures. They usually don't
speak any languuages, nor care to. And when
at home, they are rather confined to their
local patch.

# Well
England is right there with all those other European countries. All we have is Canada and Mexico. No one likes those places.
