it was the last lesson of the term, so i made an ash tray. Im going to fire it in my garden next weekend (when its dried, and when the firemen are back at work!)

My other stuff is being glazed at the moment, but i will post the piccies when they're done.

BTW , do you, or anyone else want to help me with a little project? im currently making an on-line advent calender, but ive run out of hummus. I need people to make a few images that i can use.

I'm still suffering from demon's connection problems down in london village; you'd think they'd have sorted out those roadworks near the church hall by now; all 20 scarecrow-based 'interweb' connections must be really knackered! They'll have to install a new kitten soon to speed up the processing.
(, Tue 26 Nov 2002, 23:06, archived)
# where'd you live?
you've just turned me off demon - had been thinking of signing my name in blood with them...

# I'm oop north so I'm
using the main ADSL connection in Anchorage House, which given Demon's geographical is probably near Fulham or in some closeness to Telehouse where all the fun normally begins due to rogue fire alarms etc. All the problems I'm getting aren't restriced to demon so don't let that stop yer......many carriers use Anchorage including blueyonder, and they all get the same probs......

From dictionary.com
Is a butterfly named for the color of its excrement or because it was thought to steal butter? It is hard to imagine that anyone ever noticed the color of butterfly excrement or believed the insect capable of such theft. The first suggestion rests on the fact that an early Dutch name for the butterfly was boterschijte. The second is based on an old belief that the butterfly was really a larcenous witch in disguise.

# is that where "bottersnike" comes from, then?
as in "bottersnikes and gumbles"

# probably
apparently my mothers side of the family emigrated from the netherlands to norfolk so you've got them to blame. how about guttersnipe?

# what a rough butterfly
but somehow still lovely!
