I live in Avon, CT....and not a single person here wishes they were british that I know of....unless you count my british english teacher...all you'll see is a bunch of trees...unless you cross into the city of hartford but wheres there is atleast 3 people dieing a day due to violence...fourth most violent city in the world! thatll be fun to visit!

Spend some timein New Haven, near Yale. I'm sure there are lovely areas in Connecticut, but I'm stuck here for the forseeable future.
