Heh, I kinda have mixed feelings about that episode
- The alternative reality thing was bollocks
+ They got rid of Mickey
- The plot was dodgy but not in the normal fun and goofy Dr Who style
+ The cybermen were pretty hardcore
- Trigger
+ They got rid of Mickey
- Too many sob stories
+ They got rid of Mickey

This is where I disagree with you.
I started to like Mickey much more when they started to use him more and give him motivation and what-not. I don't know why they bothered to get rid of him, though.
It's not like the Doctor's going to start porking Rose indiscriminately now.
