well I have a 30Gb iPod Video and I love it.but i'm an Apple whore, so i'm overwhelmingly biased.
The Vision M is really good, but Creative cripple it to only work with Windows. There's some iffy beta 3rd party software that makes it work on the mac, but it's, well, iffy.
(videos and the ipod video has gotten a lot easier recently - iTunes can convert any quicktime playable file on the fly into the mpeg4 format the ipod likes.)
If you don't like iTunes, don't get an iPod!
