# I would
write my mini essay again but I'm very tired, Rob/Pep/Cal or any other b3ta bod, would it not be a good idea to have an FAQ detailing this?

ahh sod it, here you go:

First you need to get ahold of some hosting. Hosting is space on a computer that is permanantly connected to the web, you probably got some space with your ISP (BTinternet, freeserve, AOL, etc) if your connecting to the web from home. If not the there are plenty of free hosting providers out there that you can sign up for in minutes, but beware, there are a few, such as geocities and angelfire, that dont allow you to let people see the pictures if theyre not refrenced off of their sites. I think Homestead are a known free provider that provide a free hosting scheme that will do just fine.

Next thing is to upload your images to your newly aquired web space. Most hosting sites provide an FAQ on how to do this.

Once uploaded you need to note down the URL (web address) of the image. This is the key in being able to post your images.

If youve done all the above and youve got the URL of your image then go to the message posting box and type the following (substituting *url* for the URL of your image):

<img src="*url*">

place the above at any point in the message and, if all goes well, when you post the message the image will appear on the board.

nb. Make sure that when you enter the URL you include the full address, eg. http://www.myhosting.com/mywebspace/mypic.jpg

Hope this helps, I'm very tired and have probbably missed something out but I'm pretty sure its the just of it.
