[challenge entry] well i tried with the opacity


but my gimp looked nothing like the gimp on the page.. oh well, thanks again for ur help...

i found the layers dialog but layers/channels etc al seperate dialogs in mine...

Paste new item and there should be two
items on the list. Select the topmost
and the slider will adjust the amount.

you have been well helpful.. it is more my lack of skillz i doubt it is the video card as everything else seems ok.. could it be because one was a gif and the other a jpg? i have just thought of this and checked !! durr!!
