But generally we try to keep still pictures under 50kB in filesize. Try exporting the picture to a JPG optimiser first if you're using photoshop. Other than that, welcome! Pull up a kitten, etc.

is this some special jpeg optimising software you know of?or do you just mean choosing the quality in photoshop?
