# I think your anguish is entirely justified - however,
in the event of a major newsworthy trauma that is likely to upset you should the piss be ripped, b3ta probably isn't the best place to hang out immediately afterwards. There are lots of sites (rightly) saying how awful the whole thing is. This is just a...different vibe. ;)

Sorry about the horribleness, though. I really do hope you chaps (as a nation, that is) learn some screamingly obvious lessons about gun ownership soon, before we have to sit and watch another 10 or 20 of these black days go by. *sad look*

# Actually
I came over here looking for some relief, something to make me laugh. This particular incident just kinda hit me hard, as it wasn't that long ago that I was in engineering school- and in less than two years, my son will be doing it too.

As for gun control- you're preaching to the choir. I'd love to get rid of every fucking one of them.

# That's the double-edged sword of B3ta I guess...
...every five seconds, one person sprays tea over their monitor while another temporarily loses all faith in humanity. ;)

As I said, personally I fully understand your grief. And yes, I had a feeling I was preaching to the choir, that's why I tried to be careful to specify 'you as a nation', as opposed to you personally.

With enough folks like yourself around, they'll have get rid of 'em all one day. Chin up. :)

# did you consider that possibly, if you're seriously looking for escapism in the wake of a major tragic world event
b3ta may be best avoided for a few days. just some advice.

please understand i think the whole thing's series of events is very shit and i have much sympathy for all those directly affected.

peace, n'all that....
