I met a Nigerian girl at a party on Friday.A really nice girl, but I was drunk and all I could think of to say was 'I went to school with a Nigerian family called Akinpelu. The girl in my year, Islamiat had tribal scars, but she was murdered on summer holidays.'
Apparently the Akinpelu's come from the same part of Nigeria as this girl and she knew of them. I didn't get the impression that she was impressed by my anecdote at all.
