I agree
t'was not so much the film that pissed me off - but the self indulgent emo's who loved to wander round trying to tell everyone that they were donnie darko because THEY should have died. And let's face it, how many of us wish they had? It's only after their 83rd "suicide attempt" that fails, do they start saying, "i'm supposed to live, unlike donnie" like they knew the guy, and somehow they're made cool by that comparison!! Besides, the "suicide attempt" usually consists of catching a part of their lower arms on brambles, where, because of their palid complexion from not leaving the house in 8 weeks straight they've had some strange allergic reaction that makes it look like cut marks; or it's when they take 2 paracetamol and dare to have a drink 14 hours afterwards.
*takes a deap breath*
ok ok - i'm done.

I thought it was complete balls.
Frankly.
Very depressing, slow and pretentious.
Just my opinion though, lots of people love it.

I thought it was shit as well
Terrible film. I've no idea why people like it so much -- but they do so obviously there's something in it I didn't get.

no, it's based purely on the principle that
if you admit to not understanding it, people will mock you. despite it being inpenetrable twaddle
the patrick swayze stuff is ace, and there are some amusing bits of dialogue, but on the whole, it's just a big bag of cocks
