# This is smashing.
Because it sums up 99.9% of my feelings towards this "festive" period.

# ^ this
Does anyone actually have a nice fluffy happy white Xmas, with cosy firelight flickering off the happy smiling faces of your family?
Or do you look out the window at the overcast skies, damp pavements and Round Table Santa parade and wish it was January?

# It appears I'm alone in my genuine love of Christmas
Not because it's a religious festival, not because of presents, not because of forced expectations...because it's a lovely tradition that has always been enjoyable.

Absolutely delicious food, good fun, and an 'excuse' for everyone to get together and have a giggle and enjoy each others company. Maybe I've just been lucky in missing out on the forced commercialism or family visits?
No-one else seems to have this experience which makes me a little sad, I'm just holding onto my kind of Christmas as long as possible as it appears that everyone else seems to feel it inevitable that my kind of delusional experience can't survive.
