your power source, transformer thing is buggered.get a new one, mine was only about £30 or so and it has enough umph to power the whole street, or so i'm told

ThisIt involves about 4 screws, and plugging in a few things, which is so easy, you'd have to try very hard to plug them in the wrong place.
