what's up?

# I am
I can't sleep.

# I had a tuna mayo sandwich followed by a branston relish and cheddar sandwich followed by a pint of tea and most of a large bar of chocolate
and now I feel marginally unwell.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 3:05, archived)
# I have just concluded hot chocolate with whisky
as an attempt to induce sleep. Now I shall see if it helps.

# Tell me if you fall asleep.

# I may have overstepped the mark a little with my first flash project
and can't figure out how to play stuff after an intro movie...
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 3:18, archived)
# Do you mean that you want it to wait for user input after the intro?
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 3:26, archived)
# Well...I originally had it like this
jamescamclarke.deviantart.com/art/Homeworld-History-Interface-74067310

But after changing it, the buttons appear right at the beginning, instead of fading in later...I have had an idea though...I'll let you know if it works

# Um
what's causing that would rather depend on how you've done it. It could be to do with symbols not being set to "export for actionscript" if you're using actionscript to put them there, for instance. (I only have pre-adobe Flash and may be out of date.)

# could I send you the FLA?
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 3:35, archived)
# If it's under a meg.
I'm on dial-up here.

# Here you go...

Basically...I want the large symbol to appear, glow, then shrink to the bottom. When it's done that, the three images come in.

# My Flash MX doesn't like opening it, and crashes.
Probably I am indeed a few years behind the times and can't open modern flash files. Sorry.

# This is ok
thankyou for trying, anyways
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 4:39, archived)
# Well mines not bad.
I wouldn't call it 'flash' though. Just adequate.
