# I'm all for higher education
but you would ( you being them ) learn more from 6 months washing my vans and watching ( more importantly listening ) to me work than you would ever gain from 3 years of quantum midwifery or similar bollocks.
They are trying to bring back Apprenticeships. Make it easier for employers I might get some work and educate a few kids.

# I've got an apprenticeship.
And all I did was my job and a test at the end.

# That's not fair really.
I think anyone that takes the time to seek a trade should get the best training they can. Title is nothing, knowledge is everything. I've been learning my trade for nearly 30 years and having the ship to work on means I'm just learning more. Passing it on is difficult without a high personal, monetary, cost.

# I'm good at my job.
That's why I didn't need much training to get the apprenticeship- by the time I did it, I had two years experience at the level they were training me to. But I'm not about to turn down a free qualification.
