# wasn't there a part in the hitchikers guide books
where they destroyed a load of stars so that the supernovas would advertise cola in the future?

# I'm not sure.
I could never get interested in the books, no matter how hard I tried. They just bored me.

# fair,

Adams pisses all over tossbags like Pratchett.

# the holistic detective agency?
that was odd, not surprisingly. Helped to quench the need for more hitchikers in a roundabout way. I think it's about time I read the 'guide in its 5 parts and those ones again. Think I read them at too young an age to appreciate them

# I like them both..

my only complaint about the first one is it's a little too OMG MACINTOSH COMPUTERS, but the story is very clever, and genuinely creepy in places.
Maybe I've re-read it too often late at night

# ah, now you mention it
adams did go on about apples ALL THE FUCKING TIME in the book. bless him.
