to want to belong to a tribe; be it a football team, model railway building club, a nation, or whatever.

Following, supporting and appreciating that tribe does not mean racism. I think you misunderstand the term.

Edit: Besides, it's not impossible the UK will be a muslim state in the next 50 years.
