True...
...but if you can find the 'Firefly' box set I think you'll love it. Everyone does. Not very expensive these days. And there's only fourteen episodes, if you enjoy BitTorrent.
It's a western, set in space. No aliens, no laser guns, just some men on the raggetty edge with an old boat and not enough money to fuel her.
Joss won't work with Fox again after what they did to his series (Firefly).

never a truer word said
just had to search for ages searching for log in details to say that :-)
FOX have fucke up loads of people, numerous quotes from simpsons will tell you that much. but killing off Angel early and cutting firefly off so early must be seriously frustrating for joss whedon. theres a following for people trying to bring it back

Of which I'm one.
Angel ended when it needed to, but Firefly should never have been cancelled. It's one of the greatest injustice of the 21st century.

In my opinion, which is effectively worthless
angel needed at least another 4 episodes to properly tie off all the loose ends in the storylines. as it stands, it feels seriously rushed, and killing off characters too soon and without proper justification. like 4 episodes crushed into one, replacing plot for more punching things.
anywho..... i'm bitter, and that firefly was just left to die is travesty. but the fans got the film out of it. and the special features on the dvd. while not perfect, its otherrwise unprecidented

I must admit
I don't think I saw the conclusion to Angel. I did meet the Mighty Joss in 2002 when everything was in full swing.
He was as full of awesome as you'd expect from an ugly potato man.
Amy Acker is gorgeous and lovely and she signed my PowerBook.
I loved firefly so hard (I've mentioned earlier) I cried several times watching that film. I bought it four times over on various DVD formats (DVD, HD-DVD, Special edition, DVD again for my parents). In fact, I nearly bankrupted myself getting the HD-DVD drive for my Xbox 360, just so I could watch Serenity in HD. For about a year, it was the only HD-DVD that I owned.

well, boarderline obsessive, but
i can see where the feeling comes from. the guy really has the ability to make you feel part of the process, he's telling a story for us to hear. noone should be allowed to let him stop.
but he has other projects, and i'll throw whatever support and recomendation i can in his direction.
and good to hear Amy Acker is as fantastic in person as she appears on-screen! her ability to switch between completely different roles in an instant.. well thats possibly the most moving tv ever. can watch that over and over..

I know...
...between her and Alyson Hannigan, they're the best 'crying' actresses on TV, ever.
Joss latest project is 'Dollhouse,' which I'm very excited about. It also has Liza Dushku as one of the Dolls!

Just keep your eyes on Stargate whatevers.
It's where FireFly / Star Trek / Farscape / [nineties scifi show] seems to end up these days.
Except for Summer Glau, who got quite the coup working on Terminator:: Sarah Connor...

its amazing how
farscape and firefly, two relatively unknown programs gave so many actors to other programs.
anyway, sleep time, exam in 9 hours.

Quite...
...although Nathan Fillion was a big bad in season seven of Buffy, Gina Torres was Jasmine in Angel, Summer Glau got her first acting break in Angel, and Jewel Staite was a potential Slayer in Season 7 of Buffy...
Joss looks after his girls and guys.
I never got on with Farscape, for reasons I mentioned earlier (Muppets on the bridge).
Exam?

oh yeah, well obviously hes
got a bunch of mates that he can call on, and he knows are loyal to him. nathen filler is also in his online thing he did during the writers strike.
the connection between vala and mitchel in stargate makes much more sense after you see farscape, its genious. they know each other so well i wouldnt be surprised if they invented their own lines half the time
just a crappy class test tomorrow at 3pm. this is the last spliff then im off to sleep. cu

I think you're right...
...Vala and Mitchell have so much chemistry on set it's hard to fake. I've been watching SG-1 since 1997 so I've followed everything. I still cry when I watch Janet Fraizer's death scenes. And yes, I cried when she popped up again in season 10.
