i think his garden
was the equivlent of camp x-ray, but only for squirels. he'd catch them in humane traps and then drown them, as he nearly drowned once and did think it was too bad a way to go.

when have you seen a squirel under artificial, yellow light? When have you seen a rat out in the sun?

HMMMMMMMM.
I have a sneaky suspicion the photohrapher may have use a flash to bolster the light a tad, look at the shadows under squizzle,
they seem to suggest an extra light source coming from the direction of the camera, which might explain the change in colour.
Or maybe it's a were-rat who changes form by the light of a full 60 watt! ;)
