# I just
had the gastric band op.
lost 2 stone on my own while i was waiting; then thanks to the pre-op diet i've lost another 1 and a half stone in just under 3 weeks.
Am already feeling lots better - though i have a fair way to go!
well done for your slimmicity! *hugs*

# you're doing the liver reduction diet?
i don't envy you, i bloody hated it! it's been almost a year, i still can't face jelly :(

# i did it for 10 days and lost 8 kilos!
had my op on the weds before last and have lost another 6 kilos since.
the rules have changed slightly on the liver-reduction diet - now they stress fat-free over liquid-only - so you're still 'allowed' solid foods as long as they're hyper-lowfat.
I still did a whole 3 days of liquid-only just to be sure - and yes - i'm fucking SICK of jelly and yoghurt!

# did you try the swiss vegetable bouillon?
i love that stuff! it will be a year for me on the 24th

# i pretty much
lived off Knorr Chicken Noodle packet soups [only 0.6% fat!] and Muller Light fat-free yoghurts for the liquid-only days. and white fish baked in rye breadcrumbs for the solidfood days.
you've done fantastically well - i bet you feels tonnes better than before you had it done!

# definitely!
although i'm losing a fortune in clothes! i had to do the liquid and jelly only for 2 weeks

# ah, the gastric band
support group thinger in my area has an awesome clothes-swap thing
where you take in clothes you've slimmed out of, and you can pick up clothes in your size for free. they have tones of awesome stuff, most of it barely-worn because people are losing weight so fast.

# there's nothing like that around here
despite the fact that this place is heaving with fatties :D

# That seems like such a good option as it's less intrusive and it's adjustable
but by feck, these types of operations are expensive.
Mind you, all private operations are expensive.

# NHS FTW!

# i think it's about
seven grand if you go private, yeah.
Plus any aftercare beyond the package you buy, and anything like skin removal and face/boob lifts.
gets pretty costly [but then, so is a funeral and i know which i'd prefer to spend the money on]
