thinking about it, what would have happened:
We would have remained the largest superpower, and we would have had a stronger alliance with germany / the holy roman empire. it is likely that upon subduing the Americans, we would have returned to europe, and turned our attentions to the french, with german help. france would have been carved up, with spain turning a blind eye, so as not to stoke its own public with ideas of rebellion.
in this new and more politically stable europe, with the west dominated by the anglo-germanic union, the seed of revolution may have never sprouted in russia, and the major powers would have dealt better witht he balkan states, and cubed serbian nationalism, preventing the first world war. with no war, it would have been less likely to see the austerity of 20's europe leading to the rise of right wing sentiments.
