The thought of paternosters make me feel uneasy for a reason I can't quite pin down.
My favourite anecdote/potential urban myth concerns the one previously at Leeds University.
On applicant tours, they would take the group past and explain that they need to be careful if they ever go over the top in it. To demonstrate, the tour guide hops in only to emerge on the opposite side doing a handstand.
