This is a normal post Of course it's a fucking agenda.
The Constitution is a set of laws governing a political system. It represents a particular view of what rights and duties there might be. That's a view that may need revising from time to time, as happens in every other country. It's not at all odd to suppose that a document hastily cobbled together a couple of centuries ago might be - y'know - past it in parts. The Constitution is not god-given; it is not a law of nature.

It is very, very difficult to amend the Constitution, but that doesn't mean that it is or ought to be immune from amendment as a matter of principle. Simply pointing out that some activity or other is guaranteed as a right by the Constitution in no way demonstrates that it ought to be.

This is a normal post So you disagree with my beliefs and my culture. Get in line.
But because you disagree with me does not make me evil, or even my culture evil. Rational people can disagree without name calling and vilification. I don't want that aspect of the Constitution changed: I agree with it.

I disagree that it was hastily cobbled together; it represents thought of many years and spanning philosophies; and some believe it is god given. You may disagree: I will still be your friend.

Well, you certainly know how to defend yourself against things that noone has said. Well done you.

This is a normal post It's interesting that the Koran, Bible and Torah
can be seen as out of touch because they were written for another age but that the US Constitution is still held as relative. Although two out of the three are still taken literally by powerful bodies in the US, I suppose.

Actually, forget about it. I suspect the Venn intersection of people who think the Abrahamic faiths' texts are flawed and those who think the Constitution is infallible is pretty small.
