This is a normal post Bigger doesnt mean scarier
'Eight legged freaks' had huge spiders in it and didnt trigger the arachnophobe in me at all, whereas 'arachnaphobia' did (scared the shit out of me), and they were all realistically sized. Probably more relatable.

This is a normal post I watched Arachnophobia stood up in the middle of the room screaming:
"THERE ON ME!!! THERE ON ME!!! GET THEM OFF!!! GET THEM OFF!!!!"

This is a normal post Lots of icky spidery scenarios you can easily imagine yourself in
Such as when he reached around the toilet, only to narrowly miss the spider, and the shower scene

This is a normal post Urrrrgh, cock-fingers.
I meant to type clothes.

Wouldn't surprise me if the police did ask me to strip though, after all, Belle Vue is Uncle Jingle Jangle Jimmy's old hunting ground.

This is a normal post You managed to watch it?
I got to the bit where the Spider jumps form the tree onto the back pack (the bit right the beginning). I stood up, said "I'm out" and left the room.

I didn't actually say "I'm out" because it was about 15 years ago, but it would have been a phrase pertinent to the time period. Maybe it was "I, am, outta here!" or something.

This is a normal post Yeah, i actually watched it, it was a dare from my older brother.
This was when i was a kid and would pass out if i walked into the bathroom and saw a spider in the bath, i'm not much better now, now i just scream like a girl and run away. It's not a vast improvement but i do consider it progress.

This is a normal post I keep saying to people who are afraid of spiders
You need to see Arachnaphobia - that movie was made for you - not so much me that doesn't really give a fuck.

I relate this to people who don't understand that movies, generally have a target audience - and if you find a movie shit - it is not always a universal truth that it is shit.
