So lightning hit the tallest building in Rome with a large metal spire during a storm that was forecast days before,
and it is global news.
If it was a sign from God it just shows he's terrible at time keeping (6 hours after the announcement) and he is a lousy shot, only managing to hit the building not the pope himself

Which is more than any religion has ever done.
