There should be a law
that a yes/no question like "Did you authorise X" should be answered by `no` if you did not, and any other reply will be deemed to be `yes`.
Of course, after the answer, you can qualify it for example `yes but at the time I was not aware of Y`
Make it so that `I do not recall` means `yes` as well.
Give a firm and definite answer or one will be provided for you.
Only for politicians of course.

Ah, Margaret Hodge. Knowingly turned a blind eye to child abuse victims when she was a big wheel in Islington.
When one victim spoke up after she became a MP she very publicly slandered him as a loony and a liar. Utter scum. That's one way to run a country.
