So, the world will buy lots of popcorn to sit back and watch the US with

This is a normal post FAKE NEWS...those are projected figures...
global sales of popcorn have declined (albeit marginally) from 2015 to 2017.

Whilst a fatuous subject matter (unless of course you are in the popcorn industry), the allegories do not go unnoticed! :-)

This is a normal post I'm not sure how things could be any worse!
I just hope that GOP get wiped out in the 2018 midterms.
Perhaps then the rest of them will develop a backbone and dump Trump.
(, Fri 5 Jan 2018, 9:32, , Reply)
This is a normal post that, and it will further entrench Trump supporters
in their weird "system is against us, it's all rigged" belief. Some will probably go on a killing spree but then that's hardly unusual over there these days.

This is a normal post the VP and the whole cabinet would have to agree
If that happened I think they'd take all but the craziest with them because they themselves are nutjobs by any reasonable standard

This is a normal post Someone was saying he'd form his own party and split the GOP is he was impeached
So this way might be less messy. But he'd probably fight it just as hard as impeachment so maybe not. Great telly, whatever happens

This is a normal post There is a section in 'fire and fury' which says he was in shock when he won.
It says his intention was never to win, just to make some money out of it as all of his other business interests were heading down the shitter.

This is a normal post When you barefacedly admit to and then deny things which are widely known black-and-white facts...
When you coin a term like "FAKE NEWS!" and apply it liberally to stories about yourself which are supported by hard recorded evidence...

When your entire political career is so farcical that Poe's law applies to it at all times, how can anyone make anything other than a 50/50 guess as to what is or isn't true about you?

So long as a story is humanly possible, I could happily believe it about Donald Trump.

This is a normal post Its his own fucking fault though.
You can't cry wolf so many times in so many ways to so many people, and not suffer from it.

I see what you did there.

This is a normal post there are people who wont believe any of it though
When you start claiming you've heard both sides of a phone call and seen one of the interlocutors shrugging people start to question that. It doesn't ring true. And if people start to question parts of it they start to question the rest of it, even the kernel of truth it might or might not be based upon

This is a normal post what about if it was on speaker? Or the person at the other end was really loud.
I listened to both sides of an entire fucking conversation on the train the other day between some woman and her mother about their sister/daughter, who apparently is a thoughtless bitch who doesn't care about anyone but herself
(, Fri 5 Jan 2018, 12:22, , Reply)
This is a normal post the 'he's a fucking idiot' quote and the shrug happened after the phone call ended
he'd have to be in Murdoch's office to witness all that unless it's been reported to him by Murdoch or someone else who was there who heard the convo on speaker. It's not something he would have picked up inside the White House

This is a normal post you'd be suprised how much people bitch about their bosses and are indiscreet
I mean, I don't know the veracity of this author, the book could be anything from massively lies, to based on office gossip, to painstaking researched and everything crossreference with other source. That Trump acts highly irrationally as president in his daily routines is pretty common knowledge to most who pay attention to US politics, it's not really that big secret, but recent behaviour does suggest an increase in this and its interesting to speculate why. Senility or stress?

This is a normal post Good spot, hopefully some journo starts to compile these for posterity.
With the Murdoch one it has to be true. If Murdoch didn't want that quote out there it wouldn't be out there. If you can stomach it Piers Moron's shitty book The Insider gives an insight into how the Murdoch operates.

Although, I hope they then don't bury him under the wall and we're left with a Mummy 3: The Dragon Emperor type scenario in hundreds of years time.

An undead Trump is too horrific to contemplate.

This is a normal post my wife was a fan of The apprentice, mainly the british and brazilian version, but I ended up binge wathcing a fair few Trump ones too
I fairly rapidly came to the conclusion that Trump didn't appear to be a smart guy. Irrational, massively conceited and easily influenced by flattery came across quite strongly. I havent really tracked his career to say whether this was always the case or that it was due advancing age-related senility. I think it says more about America that this wasn't immediately apparent when he nominated. It seems many responded to and credulously accepted his simplistic messages, and his innoculating supporters to disbelief any criticm was effective, though hardly unoriginal. Brexit already showed the way to this effectively by claiming media conspiricy. The Trump campaign merely copied.

This is a normal post I had a dream last night that I was in a mafia gang headed by Trump.
We were trying to communicate with an adversary over the phone before we decided to go knock the guy off. We weren't making any progress when Trump grabbed the phone and started in with his typical crude way. He was brilliant, and solved whatever it was we were trying to do. I walked away with huge respect for the guy. I might add that in the dream he was even more obese and lumpy than in real life. I can't remember more of the dream, but it had all kinds of gangster stuff going on. Haha.
