I'm planning how to make the TV develop a fault
Just before the Queen's speech. Not that I've got anything against the Queen, it's the M.I.L's insistence that everyone stops whatever they're doing to watch it, as if it's not pre-recorded and we're all traitors if we don't hang off every word. I'd be more tolerant if one of the family didn't have to stay sober to give her a lift home - we've tried suggesting a taxi but the driver might be Muslim and we couldn't have that on this most Christian of days, could we?
