Am I the only person that fucking hates this show?
I feel like a leper for not finding it remotely funny, also red dwarf but I'll save that for another day...
Even shows I dont find funny I can usually see why people find then funny and appreciate that, but bottom I just don't get. Am I on my own on this?

It was inspired by Samuel Becketts work, particularly Waiting for Godot
Make of that what you will but I loved the show when it was first shown and think it stands the test of time better than some stuff.

Easy solution
Don't watch it.
That's what I do with Red Dwarf - there were bits in it that made me giggle, but the giggle/tedium ratio was too high. I couldn't be bothered to watch and wait for the small laughs, so gave up on it. Same with Billy "Jobbies" Connolly. As for that twunt Lenny Henry...

It is very dated.
I think if it was on TV now with a pair of those new 'hip' comedian types I'd no doubt absolutely despise it. But I caught it at an impressionable age, therefore I see it through lovely rose tinted glasses. Young Ones was better though.
Thank Christ they aren't making anymore though. That would kill the memory for me. I just can't watch the new Red Dwarf like I used to now that I'm older and cynical.

I was always a bit "meh" about it
It's made me laugh a couple of times, but it's not a work of genius. Same for The Office really.
It doesn't seem to have aged well either.
