Accidental animal crueltyI once invented a brilliant game - I'd sit at the top of the stairs and throw cat biscuits to the bottom. My cat would eat them, then I'd shake the box, and he would run up the stairs for more biscuits. Then - of course - I'd throw a biscuit back down to the bottom. I kept this going for about half an hour, amused at my little game, and all was fine until the cat vomited. I felt absolutely dreadful.
Have you accidentally been cruel to an animal?

AgreedI hate Dachshunds.
When I was a wee nipper, the lady at the end of the road (who happened to be a nurse) owned four of the fuckers, who used to terrorize me. She'd let them run virtually feral to do what the hell they pleased, which usually involved chasing mini-me.
Said nurse was also responsible for administering what felt like a six inch masonry nail to my left buttock when I was in hospital for an op aged five. Strangers were one thing, but family friends with a penchant for sadism is something else entirely.
However, one fateful morning while they were lying in wait for me, our Boxer escaped and went straight for the pack leader. I was faced with the hilarious sight of one angry Boxer holding said Dachshund down with her paw and snarling at it while I continued on my merry way to school.
They never bothered me after that.
