you know how some people are afraid of heights?I've been the opposite for as long as I can remember, I've actively sought out high places. It will probably be the death of me, one day when I take a step too far and plummet - but what a way to go.
Examples:
- taking the "special" trip to the top of the CN Tower in Toronto - way beyond the bit the tourists go to, up to where it's barely wide enough for 2 people. Oh yes.
- Up in a fixed-wing glider - when the launch cable snaps prematurely, and the pilot has to do some really strange gyrations to get lined up with the field, and barely made it.
- age 12, playing around on the tops of a row of grain siloes in South Africa. Conical tops, only three feet apart horizontally, but a 300 foot drop to concrete. Whee!
As you can guess, my dream home would be a penthouse at the top of Taipei 101...
